The idea that Norwich play some ultra attacking style of football, either last year or this, is just plain wrong. We retain possession, we play attractive football, we press when we lose the ball. And that didn’t get us relegated. Having no money to make PL level signings got us relegated. Having only one match
I don’t mean your clubs best player but a player who could be considered a G.O.A.T that featured for your club. For Bournemouth, I would say George Best – 5 games in 1983, his 13th club after signing from Hong Kong Rangers and 9 years after he left United.
You see, this is why this community is better than r/soccer. It’s so logical. Yes, it’s a big change, but once you embrace that change – what’s the downside? Timewasting on injuries, throw ins and set pieces is instantly eliminated. Ball is in play for a consistent amount in time every match. No more subjectivity
To be honest I do agree with him. The amount of time that is taken by long throws, which seem to have become very popular this season, is ridiculous. Cant speak for that specific game having not seen it but timewasting or “game managenent” is never punished properly. Offsides from throws is mental though.
Unbelievably buzzing. I’ve posting a fair amount about Barnsley doing well; I dont wanna come off as boasting or being obnoxious. Just enjoying our time in the sun lol I really hope we finish the playoffs. 15 year season ticket holder and ive been following them home and away despite being relegation fodder all the
That match was a rough watch, but we’ve improved a hell of a lot under Bowyer. The players are far more up for it and I am quietly confident of a win against you in a few weeks. Having said that, and to answer the question, we’ve been so bad all season that nobody stands
If anyone was sitting there wondering: “Why isn’t there a post-match thread for my team? Someone do something!” Wake up! YOU, the users, are the ones who submit post-match threads. There isnt a bot that does it. And there DEFINITELY isn’t a mod who fancies posting 46*12=500 post-match threads every season for the rest of
As much as it worked today, looking back I think it’s worrying we can’t get a back 4/ midfield 3 to function. Maybe it’s just Frank’s style. We had a good run with a back 3 last season too. On paper, the player roles today look barmy. Just shows how versatile our squad/our players are.
Honestly we all wanted karanka to do well but hes just too negative. I’m glad hes gone and we can move forward, absolutely diabolical to be in this situation with this squad. Bowyer has played to our strengths and we finally look like we believe! He’d of brought san jose and friend at half time
As much as I was pointing out their luck/overperformance earlier in the season, seems totally baffling they would sack him. Team has a structure, they pass nicely, and they get the most out of their good players. It’s working most of the time. I’ll probably get into an argument here, but do they have an
The reason social media’s won’t do anything is because there’s no money in banning accounts. If there was, something would’ve been done yesterday. I wonder how feasible it would be for someone from the sports world to create their own version of Twitter/Instagram that all the athletes could migrate to that has more stringent regulations.
If Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth go up then there’s basically no parachute money in the division apart from the three coming down and Huddersfield who don’t appear to be allowed to spend it, so we ought to thrive. And if Bournemouth don’t go up it probably means we don’t have to worry about Brentford so
In the wake of Eddie leaving, I think we’ll only be here briefly : Championship (reddit.com)Mhm, yeah, that’s definitely what we thought. Those saying our squad was too good happen to lack Bournemouth flairs, we knew what our team was actually like. Also, I’m still pulling for you to lose every game and join us
Thought this was an interesting discussion with John Buckley about the life of a footballer in the Championship and who he thought the best teams were. Interesting that he highlighted Barnsley and Swansea as teams that he respected because of their organisation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz7ESyVIkfU&t=154s
